Kindergarten and nursery

Figlarz kindergarten and nursery with English-speaking departments in Bielsko-Biała has, first and foremost, a vast experience and knowledge in running an educational institution. We have created our little world for your children for 14 years now, focusing on the atmosphere of tolerance and acceptance. We are evolving at the same time, following the changing world. Figlarz Kindergarten welcomes children from the age of 2.5, providing them with developmental support and education in small groups and a creative space. We strive to create a model of education that is open to other cultures and ways of life. Our Figlarz children gain knowledge and learn about the world through play, thus developing their personality and independence.

Mini Figlarz, our nursery, is a response to the needs of parents of our older children – our Figlarze. A need to which we respond by creating a space for the youngest and most demanding. We welcome children who are at least one year old. The little ones at our facility are not only provided with the highest level of care – thanks to our qualified staff – but also with education tailored to the little person. Guided by Maria Montessori’s principle Let me do it myself, we teach and support independence. Guided by the words of Confucius Tell me and I will forget. Show me and I will remember. Let me do and I will understand we teach understanding of the world and tell about it in a simple way.

DIVERSITY

Figlarz is renowned for its friendly teaching of English, which is why we offer English-speaking groups where the majority of classes are conducted in English by a native speaker. Bilingualism benefits children’s development. Quoting Dr Joanna Kolak, a well-known specialist in this field in Poland – Many studies have shown that by starting early, we are able to master the language at a level close to the native speaker in terms of vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation. We can add that many studies show that bilingualism supports the learning of further languages. Therefore, it is worth it!

SPORT AND MOVEMENT

Figlarz is a sport! From an early age, we support children’s development through active movement methods. We have a spacious gym where sports and exercises take place. We offer corrective gymnastics and general gymnastics, karate classes, yoga for the youngest and football classes. There is a lot going on every day! Every day we take care of the physical development of the youngest children and keep them active.

NATURE

Figlarz loves nature! We have a huge garden for the older and younger children and our own vegetable garden, where the little ones grow vegetables, fruit and herbs. They learn to take care of nature and observe the changes in nature. We try to hold our classes outside as often as possible, i.e. we go out every day as long as the weather allows. We also go on walks and excursions together to the forest, to the river or to the nearby mountains.

SPECIALISTS

Every child is important to us! Working with specialists allows us to effectively overcome developmental difficulties. We focus on individual teaching and close observation of each child. We use specialists in our work – a psychologist, special educator, speech therapist, rehabilitation specialist and sensory integration therapist. Figlarz has a gym equipped with equipment and toys for SI therapy, a speech therapist’s office and a psychologist’s office. Every child is well looked after here. We accept children with special educational needs assessment, and we implement the WWR programme (Early Childhood Development Support).

FOOD

It is possible not to eat at all, but not to eat badly. Our menu is varied. We go to great lengths to feed our Figarze in the best possible way. The dishes are colorful and encouraging the child to try them. The kitchen staff prepares breakfasts and afternoon snacks on site. It is here that fresh juices are squeezed and colourful sandwiches are made with bread from a local bakery. We like simple and nutritious dishes. Lunches are delivered by A’petite Box, which, in cooperation with a nutritionist, takes care of the right inutrients necessary for the development of toddlers.

COSY ATMOSPHERE

What is important to us is a homely and warm atmosphere. Conditions that foster an exploration of the world, a desire to discover and learn through play. Figlarz is an intimate group of up to 16 children in the kindergarten and 8 children in the nursery, who learn and discover the world through play under the guidance of their teacher. Our teachers know how to have fun! By organising movement, thematic, rhythmic-motor and sensory games, we help the children to develop and discover themselves and what is around them.

PARENT IN THE LIFE OF THE NURSERY SCHOOL

At Figlarz, we know that a good relationship with parents determines the quality of the learning process. We are always open to discussions with parents because every topic is important. We care about good cooperation, which is why we organise workshops with parents, events and family picnics at the kindergarten.
