Garden

Figure garden for big and small

There are some unusual places in our nursery school. One of them is the play garden. It is where we play, learn and get to know the world naturally. It is here that little and big have space to play freely and commune with nature. Our garden smells of fruit, snap peas, mint and other herbs that we plant ourselves. We prepare our vegetable garden every spring to grow the best of nature.

We enjoy playing on the playground, fooling around on the slide and climbing the ladders, we like to play in the sandpit for hours, but we also like collecting pinecones and cooking soup from whatever we happen to find. Here, the stick and the stone are the centre of the world!

Our garden is a place where you can see squirrels, listen to birdsong and lie on the green grass. We try to use it as often as the weather permits. Thanks to the trees, we also use the playground on very hot days, as they give us pleasant shade and a respite from the heat. It is magical here at any time of year. In autumn we pick up colourful leaves and jump in puddles, in winter we go crazy in the snow and make snowmen! Summer is summer – we lie down, run around and do lots of cool things. And then there’s spring, when we get the garden ready for nursery life at full speed.

We try to have most of our learning activities outside too – as far as the weather and their themes allow. Outdoor activities are one of the pillars of Figlarz’s values – we pay a lot of attention to this.
